Last year I decided I wanted to start using wire, so I bought some neat little contraptions: a deluxe thing-a-ma-jig and a coiling gizmo, a book called Bead on a Wire, and a bunch of wire in various colors and gauges. Then, I proceeded to make this one bead (June 2007).Using wire was a requires a little more start-up than I anticipated, so I haven't had much time to pursue it. I think the next wire project I do will involve making jewelry with glass beads. I am also interested in making chain mail bracelets with jump rings:
